Our
second trip with our little Takena Travel Trailer was to Beverly Beach this weekend. We reserved a campsite weeks ago, and wondered what it was going to be like as the rain poured down on our entire journey to the coast. It was raining when we arrived and got set up, and it rained all night long. No matter....we were prepared with plenty of entertainment, and we had heat and electricity. Just not much room to move around inside the trailer. We were prepared, however, with large, bright yellow Tri-Met rain jackets for outdoor explorations during the day.
Surprise! We didn't need the jackets! The next day was cloudy and cool, but perfect for walking. We walked for miles and miles, on beaches, trails, and even in and out of store and galleries in Newport. We had such a nice time together. Ken brought along some wood for a perfect campfire with moon and stars up above. Yes, the clouds had parted by evening.
The next day was bright and sunny. We spent tons of time just watching the waves roll in. Wish we would have remembered to bring our lawn chairs, but a small log dried enough for us to sit on, so we got to give our standing feet a little break. I really enjoyed this weekend retreat.
The pictures below are all of Ken, naturally. I'm always the one with the camera in my pocket. :)
