Labor Day Weekend

My how time flies! This has been an incredibly busy summer...but what a good one it's been, too.

To wind up the summer season we had one last weekend in LaPine and invited those who could come to join us. Erika and the kids came out, followed by Becky, Ben and family. I started out the weekend taking lots of pictures, but then the camera battery died and that was the end of that, right? Well, maybe. Becky had her pocket camera available and I used it to do a little more....so maybe she will post the extra photos later on.

We brought a little pool to the property and filled it up for the kids to enjoy. Look how HIGH Grandpa can jump!
Of course, Aiden is a great jumper, too!
Aunt Erika made each of the kids a little fabric backpack filled with fun activities such as beads and felted coloring pages. Here are the kids working hard on their coloring.

Later on we went to a nearby creek for more fun in the water. Brrrr, it was cold! This is when my camera gave out.
Gotta have a little hammock fun! Just pile all the kids in and see what happens.
Will and Aiden draw designs in the sand while rocking back and forth.
Oh, Grandpa loves to push over dead trees! He found several that the kids could do all by themselves.
Look at these MANLY boys. This tree didn't stand a chance when faced with that kind of determination.
Leesie was so proud to be balancing high on the stump.
Jackson keeps watch from wherever it is safest.
