Our unusual new wall clock is made by a Michigan artist named David Scherer. There were several styles in the gallery, but this is the one we settled on. We liked the layers of plexiglass, the variety of colors, and the swinging pendulum. It looked awesome on the showroom walls with all the lighting available. And it is an awesome clock, but after hanging on the living room wall for a couple hours I realized that it didn't quite belong there. That particular wall is somewhat shadowed day and night, so I would walk by and think, "Oh! What splattered on the wall?" Also, the angle wasn't condusive to viewing from the seating areas. Because the clock face is somewhat subtle, we couldn't tell what time it was without getting up to go look!
The new clock has now traded places with another one that was hanging in my kitchen/dining area. That clock serves us well in the living room, and now the new one is in the kitchen area. It is lit much better, and we can read the time without moving closer to see it. Problem solved! (And I have stopped thinking that it's a huge splatter accident.)

Wow - this gorgeous clock turns that wall of the kitchen into a focal point! Good switch.
