What a nice name for a tomato plant! My friend Paulene discovered this variety at Al's Garden Center (the only place it is available). After hearing the plant description I knew I wanted to try it, so her husband sweetly picked one up for me after working in Woodburn this week. I can hardly wait to find out if I agree with the growers... here is their advertisement:
"Al's thinks this tomato is so special that we harvest the seeds by hand from tomatoes from Dorothy's garden. A Roma type tomato, it has outstanding taste and texture, and is more flavorful than a Roma, and the fruit is twice the size. Great used for slicing and salads, and perfect for homemade sauce. It has been a favorite in Dorothy's garden for many years, and it will become your favorite too. Indeterminate."
