You'll have to use your imagination because I didn't have my camera with me:
The rigid little kiddy pool is being filled by Aiden, Master of the Hose. He is dressed only in baggy blue swim trunks. The girls are excited and "dancing" in anticipation of playing in the water, so Kevin pulls off their summer dresses to reveal cute little swim suits underneath. They step in, squealing at the cold, while Aiden brandishes his hose in all directions. The ground around the pool is equally wet, and quickly turns to mud.
Kevin steps in the pool to join the girls, and while holding their hands he stomps up and down to produce splashes. The girls laugh and laugh with delight. Daddy, not being a man of loud laughter, grins and chuckles along with them, all the while watching Aiden and advising, "Careful, Buddy....don't point at faces...)
The water is nearly up to the knees of little girls who are just a year and a half old, and they cannot seem to produce the same kind of splashes as they try to imitate their father. So what's a Daddy to do? This is the part I want to remember forever:
He says, "Hey, try this!" and steps out of the pool into the mud. The girls follow his example and the three of them stomp up and down in the mud, happily creating thick brown splashes up and down their legs, while Aiden cavorts wildly about them with his hose.
Are you smiling?
