Canoe View

We took the canoe with us to LaPine this weekend so that we could sneak up to Sparks Lake for a paddle. Every time we looked towards the mountains where the lake is nestled, it looked stormy and cold, which convinced us to wait a little. Finally, late Friday afternoon seemed like the best time to chance it, and we were right. The temperature was mid-40's and getting cooler, and the storm clouds were closing in again. Even though it was chilly, and my jacket was not heavy enough, the scenery was breathtaking. I'll only share a couple pictures, because, well...you had to have been there. :)

We climbed out of the canoe to explore some of our favorite areas and marvelled again at the changes one winter can bring. It's never quite the same year after year, but we adapt and love it anyway.

Brrr! It's beautiful, in a colder kind of way.
