Love

Through the doorway I come, and they surround me with smiles, hugs, and love. Each hoping I will look into their faces and recognize them for the individuals that they are. How can I resist?

Puzzles on the floor. Each holding another piece they want me to try and place. Here's one and then another! How many times will Annalyse steal the watermelon piece and present it to me again?

Snuggle time on the sofa. Up, down, up, down, cuddle up, lose a shoe, cuddle up, where's my juice, getting a little sleepy, might be taking a snooze, sister is here for another love. Balloon bop and giggles all around.

A walk in the park! Two in the stroller, one in the arms. Around and round, chattering moms...one young, one who's been around the track a few more times. The airplanes aren't flying, but the birds are. Don't fall asleep, wait for lunch. Who wants a piggy-back ride?

Mom makes lunch, girls and grandma push the little car through the grass. Why do we stop so often? Lay back, look up into the trees, look at the clouds. Time to come in and eat! Where's your shoe again?

Munchie, munchie, smear and dribble. Wash cloths all around. A little more snuggle, sommersaults from lap to floor, her turn, then her turn, then hers again. Found a juice box, taking turns until it runs dry. Shoes off again.

Snoozing time! Hugs, whispers, caress, kiss and goodbye. I love you!

Tired Grandma. The love makes it all worthwhile. No pictures needed...sweet memories suffice.

How did we do it all day long every day when our children were little? Lucky Erika to have you come help, lucky little ones to have grandma love and snuggle them, lucky YOU to be making these beautiful memories!
