While eating my breakfast this morning, I was flipping through the pages of this book, skimming the history of our National Parks and quotes from people who wrote about their experiences in the Parks. Without any warning, I felt the tears begin to form and slowly trickle. What was THAT all about? I certainly wasn't feeling sad. Maybe a little nostalgic with my own memories of parks I have visited through the years. But tears? I'll be pondering this one all day as I go about my activities!

I always think of you when I think of Yosemite.
And Ken Burns' style tends to nudge audiences/readers toward reflection/nostalgia. He tells the stories of the things that are right/wonderful/heroic.
Sorry, my pinky finger kept going to the slash key today. :)
