This is the time of year that I usually whine about the rain. And when I start thinking maybe we should move to Arizona. Or do as my neighbors do: they leave for two months and enjoy the southern sunshine. But I determined that this year I would not complain about the weather. It is what it is, and we all know what to expect here.
But wait! It's totally okay to cheer ocassionally! Such as when I see this in my lawn:
Do you know how exciting it is to see shadows? That means the sun is out!
Oh, dear Sunshine, how I've missed you. Come and visit again soon!

I especially noticed the shadows (briefly) yesterday, too. Funny how I didn't realize I'd been missing them until they were there. Too bad they didn't stay longer, but they'll be back...I hope!
