Photo Project: Day 16

I love walking through cemeteries! They have well maintained paths and roadways, beautiful landscaping, and contrary to what some may think, they are full of LIFE. Every marker indicates a life that was experienced and the variety of stories that could be told are mind-boggling. A cemetery is not scarey, but is filled with the feelings of love. The evidence is there, displayed prominently throughout the year: Families Are Forever!

I went looking for evidences of love today when we walked through the cemetery. Oh, so many choices! One of my favorites was a little love note sealed in a zip-lock baggie. I did not have to touch it to read the note: "Dear Grandpa, here is a picture of your new great grandson. We hope he grows up to be as great a man as you. We love you and miss you..." That photo did not turn out well, but the next one did. Do you think maybe this person loved lighthouses and the ocean? Someone who loved him knew that. :)

Oh, he wasn't very old. I'm glad he has people who love and remember him.
