Giving Thanks

The Thanksgiving holiday is past, and it was a very busy one. We had a family dinner which everyone helped with; prepared for and held a tea party/baby shower for Sarah; spent many hours helping Sam and Grace make repairs in a home they bought and get them moved out of their apartment; and childcare was given so Erika could spend time helping, too. Upon reflection, I realize that this holiday wasn't a typical one to relax and simply "hang out" together , but it was a holiday spent in service. I GIVE THANKS for a family that knows how to help one another...even at personal sacrifice. It is a wonderful thing, and my heart is glad. :)
