Ivy for Breakfast

Here's our local buck, dining on the ivy next to our house. We watched him and three does come up from the woods this morning to wander through the neighbor's yard, but this guy decided to come nibble on the ivy wall on the side of our backyard, so I took the photo through the dining room window.

It's so cold out there... our temperatures have been in the teens for the last several nights and we only make it into the twenties during the day (with sunshine!) The wind has been blowing the snow around and the roads are covered with ice. Another batch of snow is expected tomorrow and even on the weekend. Not normal for our area!

I'm glad to know that the deer will eat the ivy. There's plenty of it to go around, and we'd love a little help with the trimming!
