JoAnn's has flannel fabric very, very cheap on the day after Thanksgiving, and this year I took advantage of the sale. (I was in and out of the store in less than a half hour, in spite of the fact that the place was thronged by 6 AM shoppers along with me!) This week I used a lot of the flannel to make a dozen receiving blankets and the same amount of burp cloths. They all have simple serged edges, and the burp cloths are double layered. Sam and Grace are taking them to Sarah and Alan, who may think I've gone nuts with flannel, but I think they'll understand why when they see how often they get used and need to be washed!

A Little Flannel Crazy
