Baseball with the Family!

Ken and I recently joined the "Wii fan club" and have enjoyed the Wii Fit exercises as well as the games that came with the purchase. We developed little avatars of each other, which are comic duplicates of ourselves that play on the game console. The other night I created an avatar for every member of our family (except newborn Charlotte), and last evening when Sam and Grace were here we played some marvelous games of baseball!

We have enough family members (avatars) that each and every player up to bat or in the field was represented by our very own likenesses. That's 9 players on each team! What fun it was to cheer with Annalyse when she hit a home run, or Sophie when she caught the fly ball! Poor Kevin struck out all too often, and Mike managed more than once to put others out by snagging the stray hits. It's all silly, and non-representative of the real skill levels of our family, but it was delightful make-believe fun. We had a great time. :)

How fun! My two older kids also really enjoy Wii Fit. Abbie is awesome on the balance games and Darius loves the strength training. My personal favorites are the super hula hoop and the advanced step. So fun! It's a great machine for family fun, in my opinion =]

Funny! I've never been one for video games, but this might be a fun gizmo to help us exercise and spend time together.

Maybe you can write about the Wii fit for The Skinny sometime.
