Taking it Easy

We're at the property in central Oregon and you gotta know...this is where we lead the "slow life". Once we come into this driveway, life gets calm and easy.

It's still a bit chilly here, so a fire is the thing to do. What shape do you see in the flames?

Yep, it's a bit chilly. We had what I like to call "a powdered sugar" snowfall early in the morning.

Uh oh. Look what we left out all winter. Oops.

Breakfast outdoors or in today? (I'm for staying in where it's warm!)

Out here it's all about trees. And blue skies.

Crunchy pine cones and forest litter underfoot.

A little wildlife. I'm actually surprised to get this shot. The dove was sitting there and I had to slip into the trailer for the camera and then using my strongest zoom (hand held!) I managed to get this picture. After this shot I tried to step a little closer and brace against a tree, but that set the dove to flight.

An evening walk to watch the sunset is almost mandatory.

Such lovely skies out here in the country.

Life out here is so pleasant, I even slept in late. Almost unheard of for me!
Love from the pines,

Ahhh, what a life. So glad you've had a peaceful time away! (And you must have slipped into town at some point, to enjoy the wifi.)
